You know what capabilities you have. You just need a way to let employers know what you have to offer. The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is the answer. The NCRC helps you find jobs that fit your skills and interests. It enables you to rank above other job applicants who cannot demonstrate their skills, and also confirms to the employer that your skills will meet their needs.
The right fit
NCRC uses the nationally-recognized WorkKeys job skills assessment system that measures your abilities in three key areas identified by employers as critical to job success: reading for information, locating information, and applied mathematics. And if there is a particular skill area you’d like to improve, the NCRC in Missouri comes with the KeyTrain e-learning system that instructs job seekers in career paths in 21st century occupations.
The right plan for you
The American Job Centers at Joplin and Monett make the process as convenient for you as possible. Each of the three assessments takes less than an hour to complete. Plus the KeyTrain e-learning system is available anywhere there is an internet connection.
As the name implies, the NCRC is national in scope. In addition to Missouri, many employers in neighboring Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas utilize the NCRC as well. Your participation with the NCRC helps attract new jobs to your town by showing that Southwest Missouri has the best workforce possible.
The NCRC is supported by a statewide network of workforce specialists who can help you manage your plan for career advancement. Join thousands of other Missourians who have taken charge of their careers by obtaining the NCRC. Visit or call your local American Job Center for more information on the NCRC. Check out our online calendar for upcoming testing dates.
Help your community
Through the Certified Work Ready Communities initiative underway across Southwest Missouri, your NCRC counts toward a designation that helps your town attract new job growth. Learn more online at workready.info.
