Your application, résumé, and traditional background check aren’t the only things your potential employer may be considering during the hiring process. According to Jobvite’s 2014 Social Recruiting Survey, 93 percent of hiring managers review a job candidate’s social profile before making a hiring decision.

By viewing social media profiles like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn as extensions of your résumé, you can use them to show your potential employer why you are the perfect candidate for the job.
